About Dr Julian Kelman

Dr Julian Kelman is a Sydney-based psychiatrist who works with children, adolescents, and adults. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) and holds advanced certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Julian completed his specialist psychiatry training across several major tertiary centres, including Sydney Children’s Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital, St Vincent’s Hospital, The Royal Hospital for Women, and The Forensic Hospital. He has also worked as a Staff Specialist within South Eastern Sydney Local Health District. Julian takes a careful, evidence-based and collaborative approach to assessment and treatment, with an emphasis on clear formulation, practical treatment planning, and care tailored to the individual. Julian has also been involved in medical education and has held academic appointments with UNSW, The University of Sydney, and the University of Newcastle. He has contributed to peer-reviewed medical research and served on hospital governance, training, and safety committees.
