About Dr Nunzio Mosca

Trained as a Clinical Psychologist in the UK, which involves training to doctoral level, and have worked full time as a clinical psychologist since. Have worked in private and public sectors, in community mental health services, inpatient psychiatric units, general hospital psychiatric liaison services, oncology (cancer) hospitals and general private practice. I have worked at all different levels in my career including as service lead, clinical lead and lead therapist, managing teams of psychologists and other allied health. In terms of approach to clinical practice, first and foremost is to be real as well as open and welcoming. I want someone to feel safe enough to talk about their inner world and problems they have often already given themselves a hard time about. As well as having theoretical frameworks and models to base formulation on, I can be quite practical in my approach equipping people with skills and tools to help them cope and work towards their goals. I have often helped people who have previously seen a psychologist but felt they only ‘got so far’.
