Registered Psychologist
Warren Werksman is a registered psychologist with over 25 years of experience in many areas of mental health care. Warren has worked extensively with adolescents and families through clinics such as headspace, youth services and in schools. He has also provided therapy for adults in hospitals, alcohol and drug rehabilitation centres and correctional facilities, as well as supporting individuals and organisations through trauma intervention and workplace psychology. Therapy with Warren is a collaborative process. He works closely with clients to understand their unique situation and tailor therapy to their needs—whether they are looking for short-term strategies to manage a specific difficulty or longer-term work to create deeper sustaining change. Therapy can be so many things: Building up your mental health toolkit, talking things out, gaining insight, or changing your thinking. It can also involve creative techniques of writing or drawing, meditative awareness, theatre, movement, dreams and imagination. Warren integrates a range of evidence-based therapies into his work, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, family therapy, and solution-focused approaches. He is also trained in Process-Oriented Psychology—an insight-based approach with roots in the work of Carl Jung—which can help people explore deeper patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and relationships. I look forward to meeting you!
